A few days later, on the night of the full moon.
Since it was a full moon, I thought, let’s go for a drive! So I set out on a Gyu-drive.
I was made to drive quite far.
The full moon stayed in view the entire time.
The place we arrived at 👇

A small church out in the countryside at night… scary! I don’t want to get out of the car!
But the sensations were intense. My stomach went gyuuuu. My ears rang piiiiin. Goosebumps.
It says “St. Patrick.”
I know Saint Patrick! There’s St. Patrick’s Day, and parades, and kids wear green to school.
If you asked me who he actually was, though, I had no idea.

I wonder if this person is Patrick?
Are Christian saints basically all old men with beards?
Or maybe I just don’t know any others.

I went a little closer.
Good evening… would it be alright if I took a photo…?

There were two stone statues. It was dark, and I couldn’t really tell which one was Saint Patrick, so I asked.
Who are you?
“Patricius.”
Huh? Not Patrick?
But Pat is Pat, so maybe it’s just a different reading?
Saiki’s old man was “St. Andrew,” too, but in Japanese he’d be something like “Saint André.”
I guess I’ll just call him “Pat-san.”
Pat-san began to speak.
“In ancient times, the chosen ones descended upon the Earth.
You were there as well.
At the request of the Moon, preparations were being made to send the Moon’s energy to the Earth.
Those who had come from other planets began to fight, and you received orders to leave the Earth.”
I saw images.
My eyes were open, looking at Pat-san’s statue, and yet on another screen inside my mind, I could see them.
I was looking at the Earth from inside some kind of vehicle.
We had only just taken off.
Land was still visible, very close by.
The Earth growing farther and farther away.
A feeling too painful to put anywhere. My chest hurt.
I was crying.
Once again, none of this made any sense.
I feel like the theme of April was “to believe.”
At this rate, the theme of May is “none of this makes any sense”!
They all appear whenever they want and say things I don’t understand.
After I got home, I googled “St. Patrick.”
It said he was a Celt born in western Britain, in Wales.
A missionary who spread Christianity to Ireland, and the founder of Celtic Christianity.
The foremost of the three patron saints of Ireland.
Wales… Celtic…
Arianrhod was that too, wasn’t she? A goddess from Welsh Celtic mythology.
It feels like puzzle pieces are gathering, scattered and out of order.
But there are still far too few pieces, and I can’t see the whole picture yet.
Please, give them to me more gradually… starting with the corners and the edges…
On the full moon of April, Saiki’s old man appeared.
And on the full moon of May, Patricius appeared.
Saints who appear on the night of the full moon.
