(April, New York)
The day after the light-hearted boy appeared during my drive,
Gyu went completely silent.
No belly-tightening “Gyu.”
Nothing.
But my headache was still there.
With Gyu quiet for once, I could finally browse the internet freely before bed.
I somehow ended up reading the same blogs Gyu had once guided me to.
Two words appeared again and again:
“Grounding”
and
“Meditation.”
They were described as essential.
Everyone said so.
At that time, my knowledge was almost zero.
Meditation?
“Monks sitting by waterfalls or on temple verandas, right?”
—That level.
Grounding?
Never heard of it.
✦ The Next Morning
My headache was gone,
and Gyu was back—loud.
“Wash your face more properly. It’s common sense.”
…Annoying.
But I finally understood something:
When I’m “connected,” my body feels completely different.
The belly-tightening.
The high ringing in my ears.
And a floating, almost buoyant sensation—
like my body might lift off the ground if I didn’t hold still.
With that strange state still lingering, I went out again, walking and taking the train, following Gyu’s signs just like during the Gyu Walk.
Five stops later, Gyu pulled me off the train.
Right outside the station was a flower shop.
Gyu—strong.
Inside, in the corner with tiny potted flowers—
Gyu.
Again—Gyu.
I bought two small potted plants, confused but obedient.
✦ Brooklyn — and the Chaos
After another train ride, I arrived in a part of Brooklyn I used to love.
The moment I stepped outside, I saw employees from a phone company protesting loudly, chanting with signs.
Immediately—
a wave of nausea.
It felt like all their emotions—frustration, anger, exhaustion—were flying at me at once.
My head spun.
Cold sweat.
I thought I might collapse.
“Hold the flowers! Hug them!”
I grabbed the plastic bag and pulled the two potted plants to my chest.
A soft wave of relief washed through me.
Not perfect—
but enough to walk.
As I followed Gyu’s guidance…
“You are not grounded at all.
There is no time to learn slowly.
Use those plants to force your body to ground.
Remember this through your body.”
Grounding?
What even IS that??
And is this really how angels teach people?
Its too suspicious.
✦ The Turning Point — “A Good Place”
After walking a few blocks, I turned a corner—
And suddenly…
Everything became light.
Effortless.
Bright.
My mood lifted sharply, step by step.
If I were younger, I might have skipped.
The air felt softer, clearer.
Breathing became easy.
My chest loosened.
It was unmistakably:
A “good place.”
A place with good ki—good energy.
I took a picture of the sky and trees above me, because the moment felt strangely perfect.

This is the photo I took the moment the heaviness lifted.
✦ Learning “Ki” Through My Body
Then Gyu guided me through an invisible lesson:
good place → bad place → good place → bad place…
My body reacted before my brain did.
“Oh…
this is how energy feels.”
By the end I was exhausted and starving.
Gyu finally let me sit down in a café—
a beautiful little spot with soft light.
For some reason, he insisted I drink Moroccan mint tea.
It was delicious.
✦ Maybe Another World After All
It was still April.
The same month I saw cherry blossoms with Gyu for the first time.
But everything felt different now—
as if another world had opened.
Did I really step into a different reality?
Or…
Was I simply imagining everything?
Maybe a low-level spirit, a fox, or something else was tricking me…
The middle-aged woman inside me wavered hard.
My mind said “Impossible.”
My body said “Real.”
And I stood somewhere in between.
