One day in late June, just after summer vacation had begun for my three children, both of my sons suddenly ended up going to sleep over at a friend’s house.
Right after I dropped them off, my daughter suddenly decided to sleep over at a different friend’s house too.
And before I knew it, all three of my children were gone for the night.
No kids at home…
That doesn’t happen very often.
Maybe I’ll go for a nighttime drive with Gyu.
So I headed out.
This time, I drove in a direction I had never gone before on one of my drives with Gyu.
The place Gyu led me to was a State Park by the ocean.
Oh, this looks like somewhere the kids would enjoy too.
There was a beach, and there was also a playground for children.
When I stood on the beach, the sunset was on my right and the moon was on my left.
It was so beautiful.

It was the night before the full moon.

For the first time in a while, I just took my time and enjoyed the scenery.
Eventually I got hungry, so I moved on.

Continuing my drive with Gyu, I came across a small, charming seaside town.
There, I had a lobster roll. 🦞
I love lobster.
On the way home, Gyu wanted to stop at a church, so I pulled over.
I wondered whose church it was.

I got out of the car and wandered around the church grounds.

Then I found a wall with the words “St. Rosalie” written on it.
I looked it up later and found that in Japanese, she is called Saint Rosalia.

There she was.
Rosalie.

I tried talking to her.
Good evening. Nice to meet you…
“Good evening. I’m glad you came.”
Oh.
She had such a gentle voice.
And such a gentle presence.
“Let me tell you a little about something from long ago,” Rosalie began.
“When a part of your soul lived a past life as Arianrhod, your first child was born without pregnancy.
You did not have the feeling that this child was truly your own.
You believed the child was not yours.
So that was not your fault.
You will travel to many different places from now on.
You will bring light to them.
You mustn’t worry too much.
Everything will be all right.”
When I was Arianrhod…
There are several past lives that I remember partially, including the emotions I felt at the time.
But with Arianrhod, I remember absolutely nothing.
Everything I know about her is something I was made to read online, or something someone unseen told me.
So even when someone says something like this to me, it still doesn’t quite feel real.
I just can’t seem to think, I was Arianrhod.
I mean…
Arianrhod is a moon goddess.
She isn’t even human!!
As for the part about “traveling to many different places,” looking at how things have been unfolding over the past two months, I have started to feel that way myself.
So I shouldn’t worry too much.
Okay.
I understand.
I’ll do my best.
Thank you, Rosalie.
